Welcome to The Chilling Effect by me, Iseult White.
Author, computer scientist, psychotherapist and radio geek

On 20 November 2020 Colm O'Gorman, Executive Director of Amnesty Ireland, signed with Amnesty International, an open letter that demanded "legitimate representation" be denied to certain people, people they defined as bigots and denounced as far right, while offering no evidence to support their accusation. This is a meeting place for people who want to stand up to the #ChillingEffect created when an International Human Rights Organisation decides unilaterally who is entitled to representation by the media and politicians.

Read the origin story here … And yes, I am talking about that Maud Gonne, the one that would not marry W B Yeats because she was too busy being an activist.

My great grandmother Maud Gonne was English, the daughter of a Captain of the British Army. She adopted Ireland as her home country and was an activist for people's rights her entire life. She never stopped. To the end she called out injustice where she saw it. 1/
